Massimiliano Nocchi

Biography

Massimiliano Nocchi was born in March 1969. He earned his Art Master’s diploma in Pisa and later completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. His works reflect the distinctive features of the Tuscan landscape: gentle hills, secluded farmhouses, and quiet expanses of grass. Nocchi’s work reveals a clear debt to the Macchiaioli tradition, which he reinterprets with a modern twist through a photographic composition of his views. An intriguing aspect of his art is the use of the “sfumato” technique, applied both in the foreground and background, giving his works a romantic, almost idyllic appearance. This approach blends broad vistas with a quest for peace and tranquility. His paintings are part of private collections in Europe and the United States, where the Tuscan landscape has become a symbol of beauty, tranquility, and nature.
